Yesterday I remembered and called to make a dental appointment for later this week. Unfortunately Dr. Teeth was pretty much booked for the week, but they could take me tomorrow at 8:00 AM. I accepted and wrote down in my calendar 8AM tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29th.
Next morning I am up and moving, planning to be out of the house by 7:30 so not to be late for my appointment. I arrive with 10 minutes to spare – yea me!

Two other people are waiting, they both are called in, I then get the question “can I help you?”
Uh oh, this doesn’t sound good.

I give her my name and stated “I have an 8 o’clock appointment”.
She checks her calendar and says that I’m a day early. I ask her to check again because the conversation I had with her yesterday made no mention of a Wednesday, her tomorrow yesterday is Tuesday, and today is Tuesday.
When speaking about tomorrow yesterday does not mean tomorrow today. Am I right? Of course I am, tomorrow is today yesterday.
Needless to say, I didn’t attempt to correct her because she is “the best appointment scheduler in the world” and could never get HER dates confused. I simply stated that there was a misunderstanding and I’ll see you tomorrow, - Wednesday - at 8AM. She confirmed and I went out the door.
I was pissed, I did not get the wrong date, she said tomorrow but apparently meant Wednesday.
What I should do is call before I leave the office today to confirm that the appointment is actually on Wednesday at 8AM.

To top it off, it took me an addition 45 minutes to get to the office because of the traffic. I never take this route unless... I HAVE A DENTAL APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED.
I'm over it now.
kthx bai
