Cooking Outside My Recipe Box

The other day I was in a very creative cooking mood - yes I know, that can be dangerous - so I decided to try something new and completely different. As I searched within one of my fav food sites, I came across Chicken Masala. A few days ago I had found Garam Masala at the veggie place and brought some home. I had to, it has a rich, intoxicating aroma I knew I had to use it.

Garam Masala consists of:
  • coriander
  • cumin
  • cardamon
  • cinnamon
  • black peppercorns
It's ground together and used primarily in Indian recipes. Thanks to Jess, I love Indian food!

So I gave it a whirl and OMG it was so good and so easy to make. This is a recipe that I will definitely make again. Altho, I'll alter the recipe by cutting the chicken into bite size pieces before tossing it in the pan.

As Rachel Ray says...YUMM-O!

I am having some serious Indian food withdrawal. I haven't had it since I left the last job!! More than a YEAR! Holy cripes, I have got to fix this.

Hey - can I meet you for lunch somewhere next week? I will totally block out my calendar to do this.

Sounds good. Altho I need to check out how things are at work - I've been off work this past week. We can set a date on Monday.
