Dinner and a Movie

Hub and I went to the movies with some friends yesterday, then out to dinner. It was a nice relaxing evening which was definitely needed.

Mental State at beginning: distracted (no specific reason)

Mental State after movie: good, light hearted.

Comments about the movie: I liked it!! The first 10 minutes or so, I felt as though I would drift off into a nice nap. Maybe I was tired?? Shortly after, it really caught my attention and drew me in. The casting was excellent, the repartee between Jon Voight and Helen Mirren was one of the funniest in the movie. Justin Bartha is the perfect "goober" character, definite laughs from his character Riley. As usual, Nicolas Cage did a great job, altho, he hasn't reached the level of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones. Ed Harris, one of the best "bad guys" currently working. Diane Kruger's character Abigail Chase, played opposite Nicolas' Ben Gates, nothing really outstanding comes to mind about her work.

Would I recommend this movie?: Yes!!

As for the dinner portion of the evening, the restaurant selected was the Cheesecake Factory.

All I have to say is YUMMY!

I filled up on the Incredible Grilled Eggplant Sandwich. Ohh, sooo gooood!
Grilled Japanese eggplant with roasted red peppers, grilled red onions, melted mozzarella, and garlic aiole all on a bun.
I was so satisfied with this vegetable feast that I passed on my favorite cheesecake - dulce de leche.

I guess you could say that I enjoyed my Saturday.
